Terms of Service
The short version: use the scanner honestly, don't rely on it as your only compliance check, and remediation work is scoped and priced before anything's built.
What OSEM is
OSEM scans a website you submit and scores how well an AI system can read and use its content. The free and full-scan results are a diagnostic snapshot, not a certification — a site can score well here and still be missed by a given AI system for reasons outside this tool's scope (see Privacy & Cookie Policy for what we do and don't measure).
Acceptable use
Only submit a URL for a site you own or have permission to scan. Don't use the scanner to probe, overload, or gather data on sites you don't control — the crawl already respects robots.txt and stays same-domain, but the intent behind who you point it at is still on you.
Accounts
One account per person is enough — no team/org accounts exist yet. Keep your sign-in method secure; we can't recover a Google/Apple/email account we don't control the keys to.
Fix Kit & Managed Remediation
The Fix Kit is a one-time purchase: generated files and instructions you or your developer install yourselves — we don't push changes to your site directly. Managed Remediation is a separate, scoped engagement priced and agreed with you before any work starts. Monitoring is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time; it doesn't re-trigger a Fix Kit purchase.
No guarantees on AI-answer citation
We can honestly promise on-site AI-agent accessibility — whether a crawler or AI system can technically reach and read your pages. We can't promise a specific AI answer engine will cite or mention your brand: that's driven heavily by off-site authority signals (backlinks, Wikipedia, third-party mentions) outside anything this product touches or controls.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so here rather than silently editing the page.
